Basic Search- Input Form
The basic search is intended to provide
easy access to the records based on the most commonly searched fields. This
search will accept Gene Name and General Keywords. Keyword searches will look
through the various descriptive and comment fields in the database and return
everthing that contains the search input. Both Gene Name and Keyword searches
will accept (and expect) wildcards when searching.
For example, to find all genes that have a name that starts with "B0" you would enter the following into the Gene Name field: B0*
To find all genes who have a description containing the text "rib" you would enter rib* into the Keyword Search Field.
